Milano Men's Fashion Week FW20's Sunday had one main protagonist: Prada.
In the usual location in via Lorenzini, Miuccia Prada presented a collection in a set inspired by Giorgio De Chirico's metaphysic paintings, while the models paraded around an equestrian statue designed by Rem Koolhaas. On the catwalk, we saw oversized tailored jackets that would gently cover the shoulders, three-piece suits in grey tones, tartan coats, bon ton vests enriched by old tasty graphics and lots of accessories that are definitely bound to become next season's must-haves. It's a new idea of masculinity, which doesn't want to follow old rules and concepts, but renovates and redesigns the staple pieces of the men's wardrobe.
As always Laurent Bentil's lens was focused on the streets, looking for the best outfits sported by buyers and influencers. Among the guests of the show stood out Quavo, Blondey McCoy, Barbara Palvin together with Dylan Sprouse, Oliver Sim from The xx, Caroline Daur and Aleali May, the best of the contemporary fashion scene. On the streets of Milan, we spotted men in nylon shorts, combat boots accessorized with mini bags, logo bowling bags, colour blocking windbreakers paired with western-inspired ties, and pullover with feather detailings, all by Prada of course. It's a show before the show.
