We finally got the full trailer for Trainspotting 2, which by the way has just been titled T2 Trainspotting – aka the most anticipated trailer of the year, probably only second to Twin Peaks.
After 20 years of 'choosing life', Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), Begbie (Robert Carlyle), Spud (Ewen Bremner) and Diane (Kelly Macdonald) are back together. Everyone is at a different point in their life, with their obsessions and addictions, and everyone has a different view. But some things never change, no matter what, no matter where, they'll always be addicts, so "just be addicted to something else."
From the trailer, Danny Boyle's movie looks like it'll aim to be a caustic portrait of our times, referencing modern society's hottest issues and manias such as "Facebook, Twitter, Instagram", "reality tv", “revenge porn” and “slut shaming”.
T2 Trainspotting will be released on January 27 in Italy and the UK, on February 2 in Australia and February 3 in the US.
