5 things to do in Milan this weekend
From 11 to 13 March
March 11th, 2022
Ok, I know that last week we boasted about the early return of spring in our enthusiasm to see the first pale rays of sunshine after a long, cold, Covid-filled winter, but the return of cold temperatures will certainly not deter us from enjoying our fickle freedom. Here are 5 things you absolutely must do this weekend in Milan:
To Eat - Bentoteca
Tasty Japanese cuisine with Italian ingredients and natural wine pairing: this is what star chef Tokuyoshi has to offer, with dishes to share, such as katsusando, gyoza or pigeon marinated in sake, and 'single' dishes including different wagyu, teriyaki chicken and marinated salmon, to be accompanied by rice or udon. Japanese cuisine is juxtaposed with distinctly Mediterranean ingredients, such as porcini mushrooms, pigeon or black ox from Salamanca.
Via San Calocero, 3
To Discover - Saul Steinberg
At the Triennale, an exhibition dedicated to Saul Steinberg: a world-famous artist and illustrator who has collaborated with major US magazines, including "Time" and "Harper's Bazaar". The exhibition includes a series of pencil, pen and watercolour drawings, paper masks, objects/sculptures, as well as documentary and photographic apparatus that narrate his unmistakable style and the bond between the artist and the city of Milan.
Viale Emilio Alemagna, 6
To Chill - Baratie
In the Solari area, Baratie offers wines by the glass or bottle and signature cocktails with eccentric ingredients: seaweed head, with nori seaweed whiskey, lemon, sage honey. An informal and friendly cocktail bar where you can also stop and eat.
Via Stendhal 49, Milan
To Club - Le Cannibale meets Santeria
Liana, a phenomenon from Palermo made up of two DJs and a singer who has exceeded one million streams on Sporify with her "Perché piangi Palermo", is the guest of Le Cannibale meets Santeria" on Saturday 12th March. Organised by the Le Cannibale crew in the spaces of Santeria Toscana 31, the party will make you dance between house and dance with the live of the trio and the dj set of Tamati.
Viale Toscana, 31
To Shop - Moscova Vintage Market
Moscova District Market, the first member shopping club dedicated to private rooms with a vintage selection from the 60s to 2000. The environment is set up ad hoc to create an immersive and engaging experience, divided into different areas, from one dedicated to luxury with the first lines of Italian and French fashion such as Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and many others, to a sportswear area. The experience is enriched by Cortile Flora, the bar & bistro where you can eat and drink for lunch, aperitifs and dinner in an intimate and romantic atmosphere.
Via Alessandro Volta, 7A
