Nike's new limited edition puzzles
Bringing back Nike vintage ads from the '70s and the '80s
July 1st, 2020
In the past few months of quarantine, as we have been forced between the four walls of our homes, many have rediscovered one of the most stimulating in-door activities that have ever been invented: puzzles. Far from being simple games for children, puzzles have become something much more elaborate, so much so that at the very beginning of the lockdown nss magazine had selected a few that were real objects of art. After the launch on the market of the largest puzzle in the world, 51,300 pieces representing a framework of 27 Kodak photos, now Nike has also put together a series of limited edition puzzles, not for sale but available at selected sneaker stores via raffles and giveaways with specific procedures.
In total there are nine puzzles and they represent some of the most famous Nike advertisements from the Seventies and Eighties. Among the ads included in the collection, there are the 1977 campaign "Waffles Make Footwear News" and two others from 1986, "Be true to your school" and "Stand or face". Each puzzle is made up of 325 pieces, with the exception of the "Be True To Your School" edition, which counts 1,225. Adding rarity to the pieces, the puzzles are available both individually and in packs of 3, consisting of two 325-piece puzzles and one 1,225-pieces.
For now, Nike's vintage puzzles are available through a raffle in the following stores: RSVP Gallery, BAIT, Oneness, Darkside Initiative and JUICE.
