"Fans who are social distancing will be able to escape into the Marvel Universe and revisit their favorite stories from a curated selection of complete story arcs – completely free", stated the Company on the official site.
The service is available from April 2nd, 2020. The list includes great classics made even more famous by their cinematic versions, as some sagas from the Avengers (Civil War, Avengers: Kree/Skrull War, Avengers vs. X-Men), X-Men (X-Men: Dark Phoenix Saga) as well as Amazing Spider-Man, Black Panther Vol. 1 by Ta-Nehisi Coates, Captain Marvel Vol. 1 and many others. To get full access you just have to download the official app Marvel Unlimited for iOS and Android and select the “Free Comics” category. The volumes are only available in english, but you can read them from Italy as well.
The good news follows a more sad statement: as Hollywood and the entire industry of cinema and entertainment continue to adapt to the Coronavirus emergency, Disney announced a new official release schedule of all the films of Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4. Black Widow (the stand-alone with Scarlett Johansson) was supposed to hit theatres on April 29th, 2020 and will be now released on November 6th, 2020, taking over The Eternals - that will debut instead on February 12th, 2021, followed by Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (May 7th, 2021), Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness (November 5th, 2021), Thor: Love and Thunder (that will be the return of Natalie Portman to the saga, February 18th 2022) and the second instalment of Captain Marvel with Brie Larson (July 8th, 2022).
