Filaindiana is the app to monitor queues in front of supermarkets
Modern problems require modern solutions
March 20th, 2020
Since the lockdown has begun in Italy, the daily life of all citizens has changed. Even going to the supermarket, like any other daily errand, has become more difficult, with queues often stretching for considerable lengths and waiting times we weren't used to. To solve this problem, the Italian startup Wiseair has developed the Filaindiana web app, which uses geolocations to estimate waiting times in the supermarkets closest to us.
The web app works exactly like Google Maps, just frame your area and click on the button at the top "Search this area". Major supermarkets nearby will be shown with estimates of people queuing and waiting minutes. You can also report your presence outside the supermarket once you're waiting outside the supermarket to update your app projections. At the moment the app is only active for Lombardy but soon should be available estimates of waiting times also for other Italian centres affected by the contagion.
To know the waiting times in the supermarkets near you, simply go to the Filaindiana website and select your area.
