(Re)discover your artistic side
March 14th, 2020
It has arrived, inevitable, the first weekend of quarantine, no drinks out, no shopping - unless it's online -, no events or nights out. But look at the bright side, at least your sneakers are safe, clean and immaculate in their place. If you've already finished the entire Netflix catalogue, if you've already watched all fashion documentaries and movies, and if you really need a break after the free Pornhub Premium subscription, maybe the time has come to rediscover your most artistic and creative side.
nss magazine has, in fact, asked Ilaria Colombo, a designer based in Milan, to provide us with the black and white version of her illustrations, which depict the most iconic and timeless silhouettes of the last few years, from the Nike Air Force 1 to the Air Max 1 and the Air Jordan 1 and the adidas YEEZY Boost 700 Wave Runner, without forgetting the most sought-after sneakers of the decade, like the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Travis Scott and the Nike Mars Yard Overshoe Tom Sachs, as well as the faces of the most prominent and influential creatives of the industry, Virgil Abloh and Kanye West.
The process is easy, all you need to do is take a screenshot of the illustration or you can download it directly on your phone, with the options of edit photo on iPhone you will be able to choose among a wide selection of colours and therefore you can pick the best colourway for your favourite sneaker.
To colour your sneaker, select the image, click on Edit and then tap on the three dots in the upper right corner and select Tools: at this point, a wide selection of shades and lines will appear, from which you can pick the best colours to decorate your illustration.
If your room needs an extra painting or a few more decorations and you're feeling confident with your skills, HERE you can download all the illustrations, in case you wanted to print them and colour them with a sharpie.
And if you feel like experimenting more with sneakers, colourways, uppers, laces and soles, with Sneakers Generator you can unleash your fantasy designing new, unique and original hybrid silhouettes. The app is available on the App Store.
