The Vans Girls Skate Camp returns to Milan this weekend

The commitment and the focus on female skateboarding have always characterised Vans and this weekend they translate into an event fully dedicated to skateboarding from a female point of view. 
Saturday, April 6 returns the Girls Skate Camp at the Pinbowl skate park in Pero, Milan.

It will be a day dedicated to the skateboarding in all its facets, with lessons, workshops, labs, exhibitions and screenings. 
The day will kick off with a Skate Skool, which will see as special teachers Bastarde Senza Gloria, the all-female skateboarding crew that has made the history of the sport in Italy: 1-hour-long group lessons according to the age and the level of the participants, here the link to register. 

Throughout the entire event, you'll have the chance to take part in different workshops, from the one about the history and the different features of every deck, to the lab dedicated to the customization of the board, with screen printing thanks to Lovenskate or with spray, markers, pins and magnets with Filler DIY.  

It will then be possible to take a look at the Vans Vanguards exhibition, this year focused more than ever on the empowerment of female skateboarding, thanks to high profile names with the likes of Lizzie Armanto, Yndiara Asp, Mami Tezuka and Brighton Zeuner. The connection between art and skate will be further highlighted in the work of Elenia Beretta, Italian illustrator and skater based in Berlin. 

In between one skate session and the other you can relax with Bahama Mama, the first beauty salon dedicated to the nail art, which will host a special free nails bar pop-up shop. The day will conclude with an open skate session, along with the Djset by Ellie De Mon.
