The best TV series to be released between April and May From the second seasons of The Handmade Tales and Westworld to the debut of the Gray's anatomy spin-off

Spring is coming and, like flowers on a digital lawn, the TV series bloom.

They have the vivid colors of the red cloaks of Gilead's maids or the lysergic hues of David Haller's hallucinations and the acrid scent of fire that blazes in Shondaland's new show.

After a March marked by more or less well-made products such as the excellent English crime miniseries Collateral, the fairytale A Series of Unfortunate Events 2 or the epic in the arctic circle of The Terror, April is characterized by expected returns and some news.

Finally we could see the second seasons of The Handmade Tales and Westworld, the final episodes of New Girl and the debut of the Gray's anatomy spin-off.

NSS informs you of the most interesting TV series coming in between April and May.

Sit back and press "play".

The Crossing, ABC, 2 April

A group of refugees seeking asylum in a small town in Oregon. They do not escape from a distant country, but from the America of the future torn by war. The local sheriff with a troubled past (Steve Zahn), a federal agent and a mother in search of her missing daughter are the key of this new mystery drama broadcast on ABC characters.

Dworkin and Beattie, creators of the show, got the idea of the project by looking at different photographs of refugees from Greece and Syria, in particular they were inspired by the image of a father who supported his son. Then, to give a twist to the plot, they added the theme of time travel.

Some have called The Crossing "the new Lost," the series will live up to the comparison?

Legion 2, FX, April 3rd

David Haller, the schizophrenic mutant of Legion, is back.

This time the visionary superhero will try to stop the Shadow King who is infecting people with a mysterious virus that causes them to fall into a catatonic state.

It's been a year since the story had stopped in the first season and some things have changed. In the promo of the new episodes we see David returning to his friends after a period of imprisonment, which, meanwhile, have formed an alliance with the men of Division 3 to capture Shadow King.

The debut of 2017 has been a critical and public success, fingers crossed so that it is also the second season.

Killing Eve, BBC America, April 8th

The plot of this British miniseries is not exactly innovative, but if you like spy stories, "Deep State" may be the right choice.

Lost in Space, Netflix, April 13th

This time Netflix offers the remake of Lost in Space, a TV series of the 60s, then became a film in 1998, which, now, is a classic of science fiction.

Nineteenth century. A serial killer kidnaps many children and the local police led by new police commissioner Theodore Roosvelt relies on a psychologist (the title’s alienist) and his assistants to investigate these gruesome murders.

The ingredients of this miniseries from the best seller of Caleb Carr are excellent: Cary Fukunaga, that is the executive producer of the first season of True Detective; Hossein Amini already author of the beautiful Drive; Daniel Brühl, actor seen in Goodbye, Lenin! and Inglourious Basterds; the Dracula Untold Luke Evans and former child prodigy Dakota Fanning.

Westworld 2, HBO, April 22nd

An orchestral and very epic cover of Heart-Shaped Box by Nirvana, created by the composer of the Ramin Djawad series, is the background to one of the trailers that anticipate the second season of Westworld.

In the images dominate chaos and blood.

And they are no longer willing to bear it.

The link between Meredith & Co. and the new series? Ben Warren (Jason George), the husband of Dr. Bailey, who left the profession of doctor to become a fireman.

The new heroine of Shondaland is, however, Andy Herrera, the daughter of a captain of firefighters who will replace her sick father at the helm of the barracks. She will have to learn to be respected by her colleagues and manage her complicated private life.
