Lana Del Rey meets David LaChapelle for Flaunt Magazine.
The American star is the protagonist of The Cadence Issue with an interview and a series of vintage flavors images that resemble those of an old family album, work of the famous photographer.
In the shoots, Lana interprets the wife, mother, beauty queen, roles that through the saturated and hyper-real look of David LaChapelle turn to dark tones, to horror, the drama that is hidden in everyday life.
There are also feelings in “Lust For Life”, the new LP of the New York singer, closely linked to the American socio-political situation under the Trump presidency.
"Sometimes I feel like I’ve got my finger right on the pulse of what’s going on" - Del Rey says - "I feel like we’re in a bit of a Hitchcockian experience, and you’re in a scenario, and every day you wake up and you can’t believe if the things being said and done are real. And I think some people are questioning if this shit is actually happening".
