The bad gal Rihanna is not so bad as she wants us to believe. In fact, Harvard University honored the pop singer with the prestigious Peter J. Gomes Humanitarian Award, conferred on Malala Yousafzai in the past. Riri was awarded for her recent humanitarian effort with her Clara Lionel Foundation, which takes its name from singer's grandparents. Among the various humanitarian initiatives supported by Rihanna, there is the implementation of a center for prevention and diagnosis of breast cancer in her hometown Bridgetown, Barbados. Recently the singer also founded the Clara and Lionel Foundation Scholarship Program, which aims to help economically Carribean students who attend US colleges. Not only this, the singer regularly supports the Global Partnership for Education and the Global Citizen Project, which aim is to provide the access to the school education for children (in particular girls) in over 60 developing countries. Finally, Rihanna is a promoter, with Prince Harry, of the do-it-yourself HIV test. Chapeau, Rihanna!
