We are all agree to affirm that 2016 has been a great year for Skepta, the most popular member of London Grime scene. After some successful hit like the Shutdown and That's Not Me, on April the fourth rapper's album, Konnichiwa, will released. Maybe it is one of the most anticipated albums, thanks to, Skepta, won the Mercury Prize 2016 Award.
The rest is history.
To make more memorable these rapper's last 12 months, recently Apple Music announced the release of a documentary about him, Skepta: Greatness Only. The docu was filmed during the weeks before Skepta's show at Alexandra Palace in London, seen as the high point of the success for the rapper's career. The film also includes interviews with friends and family, as well as collaborators like Pharrell Williams and Julie Adenuga, Beats 1 anchor and Skepta's sister.
"I feel like I'm the chosen one, but I chose myself" Skepta says in the beginning of the official trailer who anticipates the docu's release, scheduled for December 19 on Apple Music exclusively. And while you wait, you should play rapper's discography once again.
I suppose we will hear a lot about Skepta also in 2017.
