How did Katkoot's event during Paris Fashion Week go?
In a "très chic" Parisian setting

January 31st, 2025
Katkoot continues to intertwine art and wine with its distinctive approach, as demonstrated on January 26 during Paris Fashion Week. Founded in 2018 by Francesco Vittorio and Giovanni Leonardo Bassan, the brand has carved out an exclusive niche with its bottles featuring handcrafted metal bases made in Italy. The name, of Arabic origin, means “small and precious,” an affectionate expression used by Michele Lamy, Giovanni Leonardo’s mentor. Beyond the quality of the wine, highly praised by international critics, Katkoot has solidified its status with prestigious collaborations spanning from artistic institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in Paris and the Barbican Center in London to brands like Saint Laurent, Cartier, Giorgio Armani, Rick Owens, and artists such as Offset, Pusha T, and Skepta. During the event, a new collaboration with a renowned jewelry brand from Los Angeles was announced, expected in the coming months.
One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the performance by Donnie Duncan, a dancer from Illinois who, after eight months touring with Madonna and six years at the Netherlands Dance Theatre, is now exploring new creative directions. His debut EP, still untitled, has been in the works for two years and is set to be released in the summer of 2025. His presence at the event was preceded by a feature in Vogue Italia and a recent performance at the Issey Miyake Menswear 2025 show. The event was hosted by Piccolo Paris, the new project by Gianmarco Gorni and Hubert Niveleau, located on the sixth floor next to Vecchio, known for its Italian-American cuisine. The evening brought together wine, performance, and gastronomy in a setting that reflects Katkoot’s contemporary and boundary-pushing vision.
