5 things to do in Paris this weekend
From January 31st to February 2nd
January 30th, 2025
After the tidal wave caused by Fashion Week and Haute Couture Week, the city finally seems to have returned to its usual rhythm. These intense days are coming to an end, and the weekend is on the horizon. Even if the weather leaves something to be desired, it’s time to venture outside your cocoon. The streets are quieter, but they are no less full of activities to suit all tastes. Discover what the city has to offer this weekend.
Where to eat: Chez Lolo Cave à Manger
Lolo Cave à Manger is the organized chaos of natural wine and bold small plates. Feverish red lighting, a counter overflowing with half-filled glasses, and a kitchen firing on all cylinders. Loïc Minel and Christophe Juville are at the helm, while Alec Van Branteghem, now head chef (formerly seen at the late Lolo Bistrot and then Dandelion), serves up dishes sharp as blades. Here, you eat standing up, raise a glass, and let yourself be carried away by the flow of unfiltered wines. SoPi (South Pigalle) has its den – a little raw, always packed, and furiously lively.

To discover: Valentine’s Club by Thomas Lélu and Pull & Bear
Thomas Lélu masters the art of saying a lot with very few words. With punchlines as minimalist as they are effective, he transforms everyday truths into pop culture declarations. For his collaboration with Pull&Bear, he brings his universe to sweatshirts and t-shirts, just in time for Valentine’s Day. A pop-up at 28 Rue Saint-Gilles in Le Marais promises coffee (by cortado), love, and witty quotes from January 31 to February 2. After all, "we should kiss" – or at least shop for a hoodie.

Where to have fun: At La Machine du Moulin Rouge’s 15th Anniversary
Since 2010, La Machine has reinvented itself more than once. Initially a cutting-edge electronic club, it has transformed into a true cultural ecosystem, juggling nighttime concerts, open-air screenings, and hybrid performances. The opening of the Bar à Bulles in 2016 and the Rooftop Cinema in 2018 turned the venue into a creative labyrinth where you can dine on a dance floor, catch a live performance, and then hit a basement DJ set all in one night. For its 15th anniversary, La Machine is pulling out all the stops: a banquet orchestrated by Antonin Girard of Pantobaguette, a post-club night curated by Rendez-Vous, dubstep with Mala, and a techno finale led by Bambounou and Matrixxman.

Where to shop: At the Korean multi-brand pop-up Danayad
Danayad brings the best of Korean fashion to Paris. An e-shop on its way to becoming a reference point, crossing continents to introduce its favorite designers to a European audience craving edgy pieces. At this pop-up, 18 emerging designers showcase their vision: clean cuts, precise minimalism, and obsessive attention to detail. It’s fashion that doesn’t shout but commands presence. From January 31 to February 25, at 80 Rue de Turenne, Korean elegance takes center stage. It’s the perfect chance to see, try, and adopt pieces that were only available online until now. An immersion into fashion where detail is everything and every garment tells a story. A tip: don’t wait too long.

Where to party: At Mia Mao
Since January 17, Mia Mao has been shaking up La Villette. A repurposed industrial hall, a finely-tuned sound system, and a lineup already featuring Laurent Garnier, Rebeka Warrior, and more: this club is playing in the big leagues. Created by the team behind Glazart and Kilomètre 25, the 3,000 m² space promises total immersion, with cutting-edge sound systems and hypnotic lighting. No elevated DJ booth, no phones – the "no photo" policy forces you to live in the moment. Verdict? A revelation. For the eardrums, for sweat-drenched bodies, and for a 19th arrondissement that’s cementing its status as the new epicenter of Parisian clubbing.
