5 things to do in Milan this weekend From September 13 to 15

With temperatures suddenly dropping and Fashion Week just around the corner, Milan is back in its comfort zone. After the persistent rain in recent days, this weekend the sun will shine with a perfect temperature of around 20°C for the return of the best season in the Lombard capital: autumn. If you feel like spending the whole day out, seeing things, and starting to stretch your legs in preparation for MFW, here is a list of 5 things to do in Milan this weekend, curated by nss.

To Eat - Veramente

Opened last July, Veramente truly wants to bring traditional Italian cuisine without frills to the table. Almost reaching the quality of grandma's recipes, Veramente offers a menu that manages to combine various iconic dishes from different Italian regions, from parmigiana to homemade pici, with the addition of the Milanese elephant ear cutlet. Perfect for a long Sunday lunch with friends, in the heart of Brera.

To Chill - Cups Ceramica Bar

In the heart of the Navigli, Cups Ceramica Bar has opened, a space not only dedicated to relaxation with a cup of tea or a delicious bubble tea but also to unleashing the artistic side hidden in each of us. With ceramic decoration workshops designed for groups or individuals, Cups Ceramica Bar offers a selection of plates, cups, and small trinkets available for painting. To participate in a workshop, simply book via their Instagram profile. Open on Fridays from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

To Discover - La Chola Poblete @ MUDEC

From September 13 to October 20, MUDEC is hosting the exhibition of Argentine artist La Chola Poblete, who in 2023 won the international "Artist of the Year" award from Deutsche Bank. La Chola Poblete's art touches on queer themes intersecting with topics of colonization and the pervasive influence of global capitalism. Sculpture, painting, performance, drawing, photography, and video art are entirely focused on the historical role of queer and trans women marginalized by patriarchal society. The exhibition has free entry until the end of its run.

This Saturday, the 14th, on the occasion of the Mag to Mag, nss has organized a special party. This year, for its second edition, the independent magazine festival has moved from Bologna to Milan; and of course, nss will show how to spend a Saturday night the Milanese way. From 9:00 PM onwards at Spazio Lampo, there will be lots of music and a strong community vibe to celebrate the niche publishing scene.
