Food, Amaro Montenegro, and origins: these were the three keywords of the New York Fashion Week events hosted by nss edicola. Starting with the pop-up in collaboration with the store-enoteca Million Goods, which featured the brand-new edition of the iconic J'Adore Napoli t-shirt, now colored with the stars and stripes of the American flag. Still in the heart of Brooklyn, with the inauguration of the pop-up, there was a screening of the documentary J’Adore Napoli - Lost in NY, a feature film focused on the lives of different New York characters influenced every day by Italian-American culture. The premiere was followed by an event with the help of Amaro Montenegro to kick off the Italian-style celebrations for fashion month.
To continue exporting Italian culture, on September 6, the event moved to the Lower East Side at the iconic Italian deli Regina's Grocery. With live music and delicious pasta alla norma, the celebrations continued throughout the evening, again with the help of Amaro Montenegro and Partanna too, for a 100% authentic dinner. For the last day of this overseas weekend, the location was once again Million Goods, where the new nss football jersey in collaboration with SOCCERTES - inspired by the '90s style of the Big Apple - was unveiled. To stay on the theme during the day, the documentary produced by nss Ho Visto Maradona was screened for the first time following its premiere under the mural of the footballer in Naples. The nss weekend in New York was a perfect fusion of Neapolitan culture, which still resides in the city, and how it has evolved over the years, dating back to the past decades when Neapolitans left their homeland in search of a better life. Despite the miles of distance, nss edicola managed to celebrate New York Fashion Week in the most authentic way possible.
