June 7th, 2024
Summer has finally arrived in Milan: this weekend for the first time, temperatures will reach nearly 30 degrees, and we can feel free to engage in outdoor activities, from parties to open-air lunches. As every week, Milan offers a variety of proposals, but they are especially diverse. So here it is, the nss guide to help you make the most of the weekend.
Where to eat in Milan - Giacomo Rosticceria
Given the nearly 30 degrees expected this weekend, the courtyard of Giacomo Rosticceria could be just what you need, especially if you are looking for a place to savor traditional Italian dishes (from pappa al pomodoro to Milanese cutlet) in an intimate and quiet location. Giacomo Rosticceria is the right place for you. But remember to book a table on their website.

What to visit in Milan - Pino Pascali
On September 11, 1968, Pino Pascali, perhaps the greatest artist from Puglia and certainly the most internationally renowned of the 20th century, tragically and prematurely died in Rome. In 1965, he had held his first solo exhibition in Rome at the prestigious gallery La Tartaruga. In just three years, he had gained the attention of Italy's top art critics (Vivaldi, Calvesi, Grandi, Rubiu, Boatto, Bucarelli, De Marchis) and avant-garde gallery owners like Sargentini, Sperone, and Iolas (who presented him in 1968 in Paris). In the summer of 1968, he participated with a solo room at the XXXIV Venice Biennale by invitation. The exhibition dedicated to Pino Pascali, a unique journey through the artist's works, is coming to Fondazione Prada.

Where to shop in Milan - Slam Jam Archive Sale
When Italian entrepreneur Luca Benini founded Slam Jam in 1989, no one expected it to become one of the most important stores in Italy, Europe, and the world. Over the years, it has reinvented itself from a leader in street culture and distribution company to a true cultural reference point, and it still boasts a selection of items that make its competitors envious. For the first time in its Italian history, Slam Jam opens its doors for archive sales: it will be a lot of fun.
