From May 10th to May 12th
May 9th, 2024
Despite the weather in recent weeks not being great due to rains that have hindered the regular outdoor activities, we can finally expect a warm and clear sky for this weekend. Milan is ready to wake up, and for those who haven't taken advantage of the holidays to go on vacation, spring is coming to the rescue: nss is ready to offer its faithful advice for a weekend in the city.
So, here are 5 things to do in Milan this weekend.
Where to Eat - Like Mike
The Miami vibe has recently arrived in Milan thanks to Like Mike, the new modern trattoria with a cocktail bar born in the United States in 2021. At the helm is Sicilian chef Daniele Vescovo, who over the years has even collaborated with Antonino Cannavacciuolo. Like Mike's highlights include saffron risotto and Milanese-style cutlet, but tasting them in the masterfully crafted interiors by Fudosan Real Estate and with Vescovo's secret ingredients has a whole different flavor.
Viale Piave, 18
What to Visit - Mediterraneo. History of Tattoo
Although it opened more than a month ago, it's always a good time to visit the exhibition Mediterraneo. History of Tattoo. The exhibition delves into the social and cultural character that tattoos carry, deepening the knowledge of practices, rituals, forms, and expressions found in any era and corner of the earth, from ancient times to today. The exhibition is named Mediterraneo because it is from the Mediterranean basin that the first evidence of tattooing was found. The exhibition was produced by 24 ORE Cultura and promoted by the Municipality of Milan-Culture, curated by Luisa Gnecchi Ruscone and Guido Guerzoni, with the collaboration of Jurate Francesca Piacenti. The exhibition closes definitively on July 28, 2024.
Via Tortona, 56
Where to Relax - Minerale
One of the best wine bars in Milan is just steps away from Porta Ticinese. It's called Minerale, and it's impossible not to be amazed by the immersive atmosphere it offers. Despite the wide selection of wines being the flagship of the place, Minerale is also a cocktail bar and a restaurant. The venue is inspired by the French tradition of cave à manger - the idea of a very small and intimate space to go to sip wines - combined with the ritual of Milan to drink.
Via Marco D'Oggiono, 5
Where to Have Fun - Pioggia Rossa Fest Milano
Pioggia Rossa Dischi - the collective of musicians and independent record label born in Genoa in 2017 - lands in Milan with the Pioggia Rossa Fest. A unique opportunity to discover its roster of artists and, above all, its artistic vision thanks to a series of 6 exclusive appointments throughout Italy where young and new pop, rock, and r&b artists alternate. This weekend, Maestro Pellegrini, Irene Buselli, Jebel, Balto, Nervi, and Mare take the stage in front of the Milanese audience.
Via Giovanni Bellezza, 16/A
