5 things to do in Paris this weekend From 8 to 10 March

In the blink of an eye, the week is drawing to a close, and the weekend is just around the corner. Make the most of the spring-like temperatures and longer days by venturing out. The streets may be quieter than in previous weeks, but they're nonetheless brimming with activities to suit all tastes. Find out what the city has to offer this weekend.

Where to eat -  Vendredi Soir

The duo behind Levantine, Keren Afriat and Jérémie Bankhalter, are responsible for this address. Opened just 9 months ago, Vendredi Soir has made a name for itself in the 10th arrondissement, attracting lovers of Oriental cuisine and winning over newcomers with its timeless menu. Named after the basic Jewish dishes shared on Friday evenings for Shabbat dinner, the restaurant focuses on the authenticity of recipes handed down from generation to generation. The decor evokes the atmosphere of a traditional Moroccan restaurant, while retaining a link with the neighbourhood. The food is good and plentiful! The menu offers kemias, plates to share, traditional dishes and desserts. We tried the tchoutchouka, the artichokes del Ghetto, the merguez mariées, the brickette with egg and the Hallah from Mami Deli, followed by the Schnitzel tenders, the Jerusalem Grill and a Tunisian couscous boulette, to finish in style with the halva chocolate mousse. A hearty feast that we kindly asked to be doggy-bagged, just like at home. The little extras: the sunny cocktail menu, the large terrace at the front, always full in summer, and the attentive staff who have mastered their menu to perfection.

What to discover - Château de Versailles

To mark International Women's Rights Day, the Château de Versailles is paying tribute to the female figures who have shaped its history. For a whole week, immerse yourself in the stories of the queens, royal favourites and daughters of Louis XV, and also discover the painters, poets and musicians who have brought the château to life. This year's programme includes a special theatrical experience entitled "Où sont les femmes?", presented by the Théâtre du Cristal. Conceived and performed by the company's young actors and actresses with disabilities, the tour takes an accurate, poetic and humorous look at the lives of women at the Court of Versailles over the centuries, offering a fresh and lively perspective on the collections.

Where to chill - Fawa

Despite its temporary closure due to priority safety work, the vibrant, committed energy that characterises La Flèche d'Or continues to shine through. Tonight, Le Fawa opens its doors to La Flèche d'Or for a colourful evening of support and entertainment. On the programme: dine in the company of friends and family, watch drag performances and a stand-up session, and end your evening on the dancefloor. It's the perfect opportunity to celebrate the spirit of solidarity that drives this collective while raising essential funds to support its projects and its continued existence.
