5 things to do in Milan this weekend
8 to 10 March
March 8th, 2024
After a rainy February, the city of Milan has in store for us a sunny weekend dedicated to art and design. The Book Pride, fair of independent publishing, and the Milano Design Film Festival have started, while artistic spaces like the Fondazione Prada have welcomed new guests. Here are five suggestions for spending an unforgettable weekend in Milan, immersed in art and design, while enjoying the warmth of spring sunshine.
To Chill - Milano Design Film Festival
From March 6 to 10, the eleventh edition of the Milano Design Film Festival will take place in the spaces of Triennale Milano, and the Palazzo del Cinema Anteo. The event, curated by Cristiana Perrella, offers a rich program of immersive panels and talks, this year focused on the transformation of the world, social, political, and environmental challenges. The films selected for this edition of the Milano Film Festival explore themes such as sustainability, circularity, and innovation, utilizing the most contemporary conceptions of design and architecture. From Green Architecture to issues related to the future generation, from reflecting on the relationship between space and society to experiences that blend fashion, food, and design, MDFF 11 aims to be an open window onto the multiple facets of the world of design.
Tickets and subscriptions for the Milano Design Film Festival will be on sale at the ticket office of Anteo Palazzo del Cinema or online starting from Thursday, February 22nd.
