5 things to do in Milan this weekend
From 16 to 18 February
February 16th, 2024
While the 17th digital cover of nss reflects on the state of Milan and the disillusionment that seems to animate it in recent times, the column 5 cose continues undeterred to offer you the legacy of days of coolhunting, walks through the streets of the city center, new encounters. But this week the best of the programming comes directly from nss, with a temporary newsstand in Corso Magenta that will enliven the Lombard capital until February 25th. All that's left is for you to come and visit us.
Where to Eat - Sogni
In the heart of Corso Genova, Claudio Antonioli has transformed a kindergarten into a restaurant with a lounge bar. An evocative and intimate venue where the interiors have been designed by Storage Associati, the background music is carefully curated, and the cuisine is by the former chef (with a past in Langosteria) Gianluca Clerici. On the menu: fish, raw dishes, grilled dishes, spaghetti with clams and bottarga, ending with profiteroles or English trifle, but even if you just stop by for a drink, you can catch a bit of the magic of the place.
Via San Calogero 8 - Corso Genova
Where to Relax - Bicchierino Bar
Giambellino has a new nerve center, all run by women. An informal and vintage venue like a Parisian red-light district salon, where you can sip natural wine or pastis, nibbling on some slightly radical dishes (hummus and horse meat) but certainly of quality. The fact that the venue lacks a sign only adds to its charm.
Via Giambellino, 39
What to Visit - MARTIN PARR Short & Sweet
The Museum of Cultures continues its successful collaboration with Magnum Photos on reportage and documentary photography with “Martin Parr. Short and Sweet”, a major exhibition dedicated to one of the most established and recognized British documentary photographers of our time, produced by 24 ORE Cultura, promoted by the Municipality of Milan-Culture and sponsored by Fondazione Deloitte as Institutional Partner.
Via Tortona, 56
Where to Shop - nss Newsstand "Ti Odio Milano Ti Amo"
Following the 17th digital cover, nss presents a newsstand located at Corso Magenta 24 and open from Friday 16th to Sunday 25th February from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, intended as a physical meeting place and exchange of opinions on Milan, as well as a point of sale for the dedicated merch "Ti Odio Milano Ti Amo." To summarize under a single slogan the feelings for a city that leaves no one indifferent, you will find t-shirts, long sleeves, sweatshirts, and tote bags in three different color variants (white, gray, and the inevitable Milanese yellow).
Corso Magenta, 24
Where to Have Fun - nss Newsstand and Apollo Club
An launch event awaits you in Corso Magenta on Friday 16th from 6:00 pm to celebrate the opening of the newsstand with the nss community amidst music and free beer. The party continues at the Apollo Club, to celebrate Milan in an iconic venue for Milanese clubbing.
