To present the Defender SW11 Limited Edition, a version inspired by the rhythms and colors of Battersea - one of the most contemporary neighborhoods in London, whose zip code is SW11 – Jaguar Land Rover Italy organized an event on Friday, November 24, and Saturday, November 25. The event aimed to explore the unique connection between the unstoppable 4x4 and international urban culture, coinciding with Music Week in Milan. Two days of talks and music unfolded at DEFENDER HOUSE, located at Via Archimede 26. This venue reflects the brand's new disruptive approach under the theme of "Embrace the Impossible," curated by nss. On the second day, DJs from the London radio station NTS took the stage, emphasizing the close relationship between Defender SW11 and international underground culture.
The Defender SW11, produced in only 50 units and exclusively for the Italian market, embodies the brand's urban style, British origins, and innovation. The inspiration for this vibrant Limited Edition comes directly from London, specifically the contemporary neighborhood of Battersea, the ideal and most attractive place for today's millennials. This neighborhood near the city center, a hub of London's urban culture, features new landmarks such as the American embassy and the lush Battery Park. These inspire the green accents and stylistic elements of the new Limited Edition, promising to explore the concept of urban exploration visually and sonically.
From London to Milan, urban culture was indeed the pulsating heart of the two days dedicated to the new Defender SW11, featuring emerging musical movements, experimental sounds, and the communities associated with them, along with live performances. The first day, titled "Exploring the In" – dedicated to Italian artists, not only in the musical realm – kicked off with targeted talks exploring the spaces of Milan's urban scene in collaboration with DLSO, a digital community passionate about new trends in sound. On Saturday, the spotlight shifted to the roots of creativity Made in London - "Venturing the Out" – with NTS Radio leading the discussion on the new faces and emerging names in the London music scene and how the metropolis continues to influence global creativity.
