From April 29 to May 1
April 29th, 2022
Spring is finally here and, even though May 1st falls on a Sunday this year, depriving us of an extra day of vacation, the energy of the beautiful season is back to make the city streets pulsate with life. Whether your weekend is organized or not, treasure the suggestions below - spring is the season of the unexpected and having an ace up your sleeve always comes in handy, especially during the hot days between April and May.
Here are 5 things to do in Milan this weekend.
To Eat – Asina Luna
This restaurant is located in Peschiera Borromeo, very close to Milan, as well as perfect for the right trip out of town on this first weekend of spring, we suggest it because this weekend should inaugurate the season of grilling. And since in the city barbecues are logistically difficult to organize, you might as well drop by Peschiera to effortlessly eat your steaks and ribs.
Via Resistenza 23, Peschiera Borromeo
To Chill – Bob Milano
One of Isola's best bars, perfect for spring aperitifs where you can enjoy Cesar Araujo's signature cocktails along with Chinese-inspired dumplings and bao. The research work behind the food & drink offerings is practically impeccable - and this is the classic bar where you sit down for an aperitif and only get up again late in the evening.
Via Pietro Borsieri, 30
To Club – Opal & Funclab Records @ District 272
Saturday night should be honored whenever and however possible. And Opal is the best way to do it, although you'll need the foresight to sign up for RSVP via email first. We won't anticipate anything to avoid spoilers - suffice it to say that if clubbing is your thing, this is the place to be.
Via Padova, 272
To Discover – Barbara Probst. Poesia e verità @ Triennale Milano
The German photographer's first solo exhibition in Italy, Poetry and Truth brings together about 91 different shots taken by Probst throughout her career. The selection of photos is eclectic: ranging from still life to fashion editorial, from street style to portrait. The different images are grouped and displayed according to different themes that unite them, creating mysterious connections reminiscent of moodboards.
Viale Emilio Alemagna, 6
To Shop – Palermouno
An apartment, gallery and shop founded by Sophie Wannenes in 2018, born in Brera and then moved to the 5 Ways, Palermouno is a sort of contemporary design museum where every object you see on display is for sale.
Via Santa Maria alla Porta, 5
