The Women behind the Lens

Maria Grazia Chiuri continues her art project dedicated to today women with The Women Behind the Lens, first Dior campaign under her creative direction.
The first protagonists of this series of photographs depicting different women photographed by other women are the twins Ruth and May Bell and Brigitte Lacombe, from Meryl Streep to Mick Jagger.
“I really wanted to have a woman photographer - Chiuri said in an interview - I'm really interested in different interpretations of femininity, and, Lacombe, really captures the expression of different attitudes - and she added - We really like to describe this new idea about femininity. Dior is very close to femininity, and it’s important to describe a modern femininity".
The result of these intimate black and white images in which emerge grace, fragility and tomboy charm of Ruth, one of the models of the moment who opened the show of French maison during the last Paris Fashion Week talks to get lost with ethereal sister’s femininity.
