It will highlight the designer's career over 25 years

The news came out that a documentary about one of the most eclectic designers of our times, Belgian Dries Van Noten, is in the making. Produced by London-based film distribution company Dogwoof Pictures, it will be titled simply Dries and explore all the pivotal moments in Van Noten's 25-years-long career, from when he started in the late 80s and his graduation at Antwerp’s Royal Academy, up until today.
We don't have any releasing date so far, and little we know about the outcome. But one thing's for sure: it's gonna be epic. The documentary will, in fact, include some exclusive interviews with Van Noten, as well as with fashion system's true milestones like Iris Apfel, Pamela Golbin and Suzy Menkes, and we'll have the chance to take a virtual tour around his sumptuous villa and his inspiring atelier.
The director will be Reiner Holzemer, who explained “It took me a very long time to convince Dries to share his passions, his creative and intimate world in front of a camera. I followed him for a whole year, and I think I came as close to him and his world as it is possible. I hope the result is a very personal insight into his life and career.”
