Directed by Andrew Haigh

Jack O 'Connell will play Alexander McQueen in the film directed by Andrew Haigh on the life of the legendary fashion designer.
The British actor, who previously worked in the TV series Skins, in Angelina Jolie's Unbroken and Money Monster, is considered one of the UK’s finest emerging acting talents and for this reason, and for his strong resemblance to the eclectic designer, seems like the perfect choice for the role.
The screenplay for the biopic, the second being processed at this time along with that of Gianni Versace starring Antonio Banderas, will be written by Oscar winner Chris Urch and will be based on Blood Beneath the Skin, the biography dedicated to McQueen written by Andrew Wilson.
The movie will focus, in particular, on the creative process behind his fall-winter show titled Plato's Atlantis, which occurred in 2009 during Paris Fashion Week.
"In 2009, Alexander McQueen put on one of his greatest shows – a stunningly beautifully re-working of his greatest designs from the past 15 years" - said Pathé, which will distribute the film in the UK, France and Switzerland, in a statement. "It was a show that he dedicated to his mother and one in which he tried to make sense of his life and art. The film explores McQueen’s creative process in the months leading up to the show providing an intimate portrait of the man behind the global brand – a moving celebration of a visionary genius whose designs transcended fashion to become art".
The filming will begin next Spring.
