Nike Air Max 97 turns 20
And they're back in limited edition for the Italian market

If you think about a shoe which, more than any other, embodies the spirit of the early 2000s, you'll inevitably think of the Air Max Silver. Factory name Nike Air Max 97, nicknamed 'Silver' amongst the soccer field and the school's courtyard due to their peculiar colorway, these sneakers with an iconic silhouette has totally reigned over our adolescence. Designed by Christian Tresser and inspired by the high speed of Japanese "bullet trains", they're characterised by the reflective strips and their captivating design.
How would you feel if we told you they're about to make a comeback? That's right, the Nike Air Max 97 are about to make a triumphant return to the scene, on the occasion of their 20th anniversary. And guess who is going to benefit from the very 'first release'? Italy. The Air Max Silver, in fact, were very popular worldwide, but especially in Italy. The limited edition will also showcase a tiny Italian flag on the tongue and on the heel.
This edition of the Air Max 97 will be sold exclusively in Italy from October 5, only in selected stores. Here, the shops where you'll be able to find them.
