adidas Originals by HYKE drops AW16 collection

That between adidas Originals and Japanese brand HYKE is a collaboration started three seasons and here at nssmag we always have an eye for it.

Just last year, in fact, we welcomed adidas Originals by HYKE with a video project infused with a strictly monochromatic aesthetic and which saw a food designer (Giorgio Gramegna), an illustrator (Elena Borghi) and a photographer (Ilaria D'Atri) proposing their own vision of the collection. So it's no surprise if today we're excited to announce the launch of a brand new capsule collection!

HYKE is famous for its ability to blend heritage and evolution, and for this AW16 collaboration with adidas Originals the collection offers an interesting re-visitations of trefoil cult silhouette. Combining a fashionable and avant-garde appeal with the sporty design adidas is marked by, the result is a very urban and fresh line where the clothing results in excessive cuts – highly impactful but at the same time simplified –, in versatile and multi-layered garments and in a neutral colour palette such as white, black and khaki craft.

As for the footwear collection instead, the capsule draws inspiration directly from the 90s, and in particular brings back a great classic by adidas Originals, the hiking boot 'Seeulater', revisited in new lines and materials.
