Willy Vanderperre's new exhibition in NY

From today until September 25, the Labs Red Hook in Brooklyn hosts over 50 multimedia works to celebrate Willy Vanderperre. The iconic Belgian photographer is mostly known for his longtime partnership with Raf Simons, Olivier Rizzo and Peter Philips, who met at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.

Together, the group of artists has produced some of the most emblematic images of contemporary fashion, developing a personal and minimal language rooted in the exploration of adolescence and the constant search for identity. Part of this creative baggage will be exhibited in Willy Vanderperre: Prints, movies, posters and more, together with T-shirts, patches, stickers and temporary tattoos, all produced in limited edition.

Convinced that his work should be accessible to young people, his greater inspiration, Vanderperre chose to add this material to the exhibition because "Everybody wants to have a piece of art, a picture or an image by a photographer that you like".
