New York Women's fashion week SS17
From runway to moodboard
September 15th, 2016
No more gender divisions. No more seasons. The key words of this New York fashion week have been See now-Buy now.
What is important is to show the goods, preferably during an interactive fashion show open to press and public, and especially to sell them.
Tom Ford and Tommy Hilfiger did it, staging show-events including beautiful models, from Carolyn Murphy to Gigi Hadid, and celebrities in the front row.
Business and glamour, but also clothes. And inspirations.
There’s been a big comeback of lines, neon colours, ruffles, cuts and deconstructions, metal effects and multicoloured prints that come from different worlds. African references at Proenza Schouler, modern art at Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung’s feminist movement.
Here are the most evocative moods of this NYFW.
