Official: Anthony Vaccarello is Saint Laurent new creative director

The rumours had been there for days. Even before Hedi Slimane announced his official farewell to Saint Laurent last Friday. This morning the news came that Anthony Vaccarello abandoned the reins of Versus, the brand of which he was named creative director in January 2015. Only the confirmation was missing, and it has just arrived from the Kering Group: Anthony Vaccarello is the new creative director of Saint Laurent, and will start working at the House immediately.

"I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the history of this extraordinary house" said the Belgian designer.

Vaccarello will present his first collection signed Saint Laurent, the SS17, during Paris fashion week next October.
