Bouchra Jarrar is Lanvin's new Creative Director After Alber Elbaz adieu

After months of waiting and speculation, Lanvin has finally named Alber Elbaz successor. It’s Bouchra Jarrar, 45-year-old French designer of Moroccan origins who will start her work as creative director of the brand's women's collections next Monday.

Jarrar, who in 2010 launched her eponymous haute couture line, has a past as Nicolas Ghesquière’s right-hand person at the time of Balenciaga and as head of couture at Christian Lacroix.

She will debut with her first collection for the House, the SS17, in September this year, on the occasion of Paris Fashion Week.
