Since 2012
February 22nd, 2016
Nike has introduced the Flyknit technology in February 2012 through the Flyknit Racer, featuring a featherweight and a perfect fit thanks to the flexible upper - the same month, the fit is further improved with the release of the HTM Trainer +, and a true evolution begins to take shape.
After almost a year, in January 2013, Nike launches another model characterized by breathability, support and comfort, of course: HTM Flyknit Chukka.
The evolution is concretized when in Fall 2013 a total of 6 silhouette for 3 different categories are presented - football, basketball and training. The first is the Kobe 9 Elite, then it's the turn of Magista and Vapor Ultimate, which emphasize the contact with the foot and the control on the football field, and finally, after a year, the Flyknit Zoom Agility comes, for women's training.
This month Nike introduced its revolutionary Flyknit Chukka in the golf's world of golf, creating the Golf Chukka, characterized by a lighter construction compared to a traditional golf shoe, managing nonetheless to ensure the necessary support to the players.
Four years after the introduction of the Flyknit technology, the feedbacks are extremely positive, starting from the reduction of 3.5 million pounds of waste material, and the conversion of 182 million bottles, recovered from landfills, in polyester to enable the realization of the uppers.
Today, the models which present the Flyknit technology are 28 and are part of 6 categories such as training, American football, basketball, running, sportswear and football.
