Signs of recovery emerge from the calendar of the upcoming Milan women’s fashion week, scheduled from February 24 to 29, 2016. As stated by Carlo Capasa, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana’s President, there hadn’t been such a high number of presence since 2009: 69 shows (and four double ones), 88 presentations (plus 9 by appointment) and 16 designers at Fashion Hub Market, making a total of 182 collections.
An encouraging figure, also considering that last February the brands on display were only 142. Among the runway news of this edition Diesel Black Gold, which left New York for Milan, Lucio Vanotti, Giorgio Armani’s guest during the latest edition of Milano Moda Uomo and Piccione.Piccione, Who is On Next? 2014 winner.
This edition also opens its doors to technology: Camera della Moda has signed an agreement with Twitter – #Mfw by Twitter mirror – and all shows will be broadcast in streaming on the official website of the manifestation.
