adidas ultra boost becomes art

What made the adidas Ultra Boost one of the best sneakers of 2015? Is it because of Kanye West and his excellent timing? It seems that after wearing the model during the Billboards Music Awards, its sales literally exploded.
The truth is we don't really need Kanye to realize how ridiculously comfortable these adidas sneakers are, and the sneakerheads of the whole world didn’t miss the chance to write a lot of positive reviews about them. There are facts no one can deny: the Primeknit fabric adapts to every feet – keeping it tight, but not too much – and the insole is extremely soft.
The silhouette is perfect as well, mostly considering it was first conceived as a running shoe. Its aesthetic charmed Chinese artist Lee Chun, who had fun revisiting the model in three entirely hand-painted special editions.
The golden edition represents the spirit of the Beijing marathon, the other two versions are a tribute to the Taipei marathon: one is decorated with the traditional Chinese porcelain designs like waves and flowers and the second one features the design of the Taipei 101, the forth highest skyscraper in the world, refined with gold and Chinese characters on the heel.
Once again, everything Kanye touches turns gold.
