Even if the films about fashion still don’t represent a defined cinematographic category – often confined to biopics and documentaries for insiders – the movies focused on fashion and its protagonists have been many over the years, and some of them have become universal style references.
From the meticulous care of costumes to the engaging stories of talented designers, there are many productions related to fashion which have marked the history of cinema generating diffused stylistic stereotypes (see the Wes Anderson style or going shopping like in Pretty Woman).
