Kylie Jenner poses on a wheelchair
For Interview Magazine
December 1st, 2015
Even if she tries it hard to make it in the fashion system, the youngest of the Jenner-Kardashian clan doesn’t seem to reach her goals.
Even her first important cover, the one released today for Interview Magazine, left us disoriented. The title of the feature speaks clearly – The Surreal Life – and the situation is actually quite surreal. Kylie poses sit on a wheelchair, as much skinny as retouched, looking lost and surrounded by cold shades worth of the atmospheres of a psychiatric clinic.
The intent of the December/January issue of the magazine founded by Andy Warhol was of course to cause an uproar among the public. By the way the images – shot by Steven Klein – feel like a déjà vu. The same Klein shot an editorial for Interview Magazine set in a hospital in March 2012 and in 1995 Helmut Newton shot model Nadja Auermann wearing orthopaedic props for Vogue.
Kylie: try again, (maybe) you’ll be luckier.
