Discover the new NikeLab x Acronym collaboration

NikeLab unveiled the first images of its collaboration with Acronym, the Berlin based brand founded in 2002 by Errolson Hugh and Michaela Sachenbacher.

Hugh had fun in decomposing and reconstructing the iconic silhouette, enriching it with fresh details like the zip which runs along the laces, the fleece partially detached from the upper and the back in fluo orange pvc. “We took an existing shoe and used masking tape, markers, scissors and glue and mocked a proto up. Building it life-sized helped us really be sure that, yes, it would work. Your foot would go in and have enough space. It wasn't just an aesthetic exercise” said Hugh. Judging from the result, we could call it an extreme makeover.

The NikeLab Lunar Force 1 x Acronym will be available from September 17th at NikeLab LNZ1, nike.com/nikelab and in selected global retailers.
