Fashion seen through the eyes of a 8-year-old child
Niños vs Moda by Yolanda Dominguez

Have you ever wondered what children see in front of a fashion campaign?
If to the eyes of a fashion insider the plastic and sometimes bizarre poses of the models can seem charming and modern, to the eyes of a person completely out of the industry, like the ones of a child, they can result absurd, violent or even shocking. Spanish artist Yolanda Dominguez asked a group of 8-year-old children to describe what they saw in the images of the campaigns of the most popular fashion brands.
The result, besides making us think over about the implicit messages of these photographs, is hilarious: Loewe model appears alone and poor (so much that a girl says she would ask her mum to know how they could help her), the muscular boys of Hugo Boss are associated to superheroes, the girls from Balmain look like Wrestling fighters and the Miu Miu girl looks like she has just fallen because the floor was wet.
While watching the movie we all feel like a child and we wonder: what’s the actual relationship between a toilet and a fashion brand?
