The MFW has come in the blink of an eye and has gone even faster. Between historic names and new ones, here’s our selection of the five best moments of this Milan week:
MSGM
For the next SS16 Massimo Giorgetti proposes an unexpected urban safari. The MSGM man wears khaki looks and ample silhouettes with an oriental charm. The stripe pattern is the dominant motif of the entire collection: we find it both on top and bottom, declined in many variations of color and used on different fabrics.
FACESTASM
Facestasm, founded in 2007 by Hiromichi Ochiai, is the brand selected this year by King Giorgio to show at the Armani Teatro during MFW. Milan has bowed in front his asymmetrical cuts, oversized volumes and architectural lines: a visual experiment that has brought a breath of fresh air in the city.
FENDI
A sophisticated and relaxed collection, the one proposed by Fendi. Apparently simple garments, colours ranging from grey to brown to black, red and yellow. Relaxed looks which hide years of craft tradition typical of the Italian House. Honorable mention to the leather jacket and the python maxi bags and backpacks.
DIESEL BLACK GOLD
Diesel Black Gold combine comfort and versatility to each piece of the next SS 2016. The collection includes oversized sweatshirts, shirts, vests and multifunctional bum packs. The unmistakable Diesel style, with a luxury touch.
DAMIR DOMA
The runaway of Damir Doma is a journey to discover the inner life, based on purity and simplicity. Linear and clean tunics - from white to navy, from pink to military green - make you desire to leave leave any excess to embrace a more natural philosophy. Highlight: the glasses made in collaboration with eyewear brand Mykita.
