Cher is the new face of Marc Jacobs.

She's the star of the Fall Winter campaign shot by David Sims and styled by Katie Grand, who last night spreaded the news from its Instagram profile.

Just think of the evening at the Met Gala  the designer and his latest muse have walked the red carpet together hand in hand, wrapped her in a long burgundy and gray dress.

But now the news is official and also Jacobs proposes the image of the star with the caption "The amazing and beautiful CHER! This is just the beginning .... More to come!!"

Big surprises coming? The lady remains an undisputed icon, perfect in interpreting a collection inspired by another great, imperfect woman like Diane Vreeland.

Marc Jacobs had said long ago: "Other boys were out fascinated by other things. I was like, No, I'd really much rather see what Cher's wearing this week".

Joan Didion, Joni Mitchell, Iris Apfel Jessica Lange, Donatella Versace and now Cher. Who will be next?
