Watch The Artist is Absent Martin Margiela

It's now online the documentary "The Artist is Absent: A Short Film on Martin Margiela" presented by the Yoox group.

About 12 minutes which trace the creative work of one of the most conceptual and revolutionaries designers ever, including videos of his fashion shows and interviews about his Maison.

Among the interviewed, some of the most illustrious names in the current landscape of fashion - including the fashion editor Suzy Menkes, the designers Jean Paul Gaultier and Raf Simons and the entrepreneur Geert Bruloot, who was the first to discover the enormous talent of Martin Margielaa.

The documentary, directed by New York director Alison Chernick, is a candidate in 2015 edition of the Tribeca Film Festival in the category of Best Short Documentary - and, with a special selection of vintage iconic garments of Margiela, is part of the Magician of Fashion project of Yoox.

As Martin Margiela can be physically unattainable, his incredible work continues to surprise us, to excite us and to invite us to dream.
