CK x MyTheresa 'The Re-Issue Project' Collection Campaign
Feat. Lottie Moss
July 15th, 2014
Little women grow.
It seems like yesterday, but it's been over twenty years since a young Kate Moss with then-rapper Mark "Markie Mark" Wahlberg posed front the camera of a legendary Herb Ritts for Calvin Klein advertisements that made her famous. Now Queen Kate passes the baton to the younger sister Lottie.
The girl was chosen by the U.S. brand as the face of "The Re-Issue Project" capsule collection created with mytheresa.com. It's a revisiting with modern fabrics and technologies of nine iconic pieces, from high-waisted skinny jeans, worn by Brooke Shields in the Eighties or 90s Kate Moss' boyfriend, sweatshirts, T-shirts, jackets and denim shirts. « The capsule is all about nostalgia for the ‘90s and that whole look feeling very right again,» - says Kevin Carrigan, creative director of the brand - « It seemed the perfect time to revive the brand iconic best seller to a new generation ». The realization of the ampaign that accompanies the project is entrusted to the photographer Michael Avedon. In 1981, his grandfather, the great Richard, had signed a series of shots for Calvin Klein Jeans with Brooke Shields as protagonist.
Now it's up to Lottie, described by Michael « the essence of the Calvin Klein girl. Intriguing innocence with utter beauty ». The collection will be celebrated at an exclusive party in London on 17 July, but for sale on mytheresa.com from Wednesday, July 16.
