Donatella Versace had said: "Atelier Versace is the essence of couture. This season I wanted to celebrate the construction and deconstruction of eliminating the superfluous, minimizing the fabric and playing with the sensuality of the body, sometimes revealing the skin". And so it was.

At Chambre Commerce et Industrie on a catwalk covered in purple fur lady Versace presents her personal interpretation of '50s fashions. Inguinal slits, ad hoc cuts that leave room for bare skin, with metal chains corsets, bustier dresses, draped skirts, asymmetries, ankle slim pants, even take the dresses, are decadent elements of a sophisticated, funny and sexy collection. Everything in the Versace's world exudes sensuality and glamor, even the t-shirt, covered with crystals and beads, becomes haute couture. The materials, all luxury, available in nocturnal tones such as black, purple, blue, mingle.

Silk, silicone, organza, mink, duchesses, Swarovski, metal, vinyl bow before tailoring skill of their execution. Under the watchful eye of Jennifer Lopez, sitting in the front row sheathed in a white dress, Donatella Versace has confirmed her strong and direct style, aimed at women with a strong self-confidence, the kind of people proud to show the world who wear a Versace it's not  a thing for the weak.
