Walter Van Beirendonck SS14 Collection

Walter Van Beirendonck has built up, a collection after another, the reputation of enfant terrible of menswear. Histrionic , theatrical , extreme, the Belgian designer always manages to make creations that stand out and make itself heard.

The summer proposition is titled "Home sweet home" and is inspired by the house that Beirendonck shares with his partner in Antwerp. Carpet, flowers, paintings, ornaments are the basis of  the prints together with the works of the American artist Scooter LaForge.

The collection is a kaleidoscope of colorful silken men's suits, with elongated silhouettes , geometric prints and details cut as pop up.         The Belgian designer has a fresh approach to tailoring , his fashion is a new elegance composed of surreal details as the python gloves , cartoons socks or shoes with genitals.

Walter Van Beirendonck is a talent , one who is not afraid to express himself.
