Barbara I Gongini FW 2013 Collection
The pure Nordic avant gard
October 28th, 2013
Barbara I Gongini loves the black, leather, tools she uses to reinterpret the Nordic tradition through most cosmopolitan codes and forms. Her approach to fashion is primitive , physical, without drawings or sketches to follow, she experiences directly on the bodies, builds on them every outfit, trying to unite form and design.
Even for her debut with a men's collection, the design, the geometry, in particular the figure of the square is the inspiration with which it develops the proposal for this winter. Scandinavian, multidisciplinary talent, the designer tries to combine functionality and aesthetics, reflecting the many facets of fashion and life. The line's debut in menswear is characterized by basic clothes that help you build a perfect wardrobe, mixed with a touch of eccentricity that make unique who wears them. It 's a multi-layered fashion, mixing materials and inspiration, minimalism and gothic. Dark, theatrical, but ethical and environmental conscious, Barbara I Gongini is the pure Nordic avant-garde.
