Philli Wood FW 2013 Collection
Innovative printing technique
October 11th, 2013
Philli Wood, newly graduated from the University of Westminster, plays with the concept of knitwear, presenting an unusual and interesting collection. Thanks to an innovative printing technique, the designer gives to nylon the typical braid pattern of knitting, creating a trompe l'oeil effect that captures the attention.
Wood exaggerates the traditional forms of parka making its silhouette oversized, soft, enveloping, trying to repeat, even through the choice of bright and summer colors like pink and orange, the heat effect of the wool. Exaggerated forms, vivid tones, multi-layer garments, worn on top of each other, prints, everything in the collection of Philli Wood was created to give a fun, youthful, vibrant winter, transforming the cold season in a virtual hot summer.
