L’inverno di Brunello Cucinelli si accende di colore per la collezione FW25
Un nuovo equilibrio tra sartorialità e quotidianità

January 17th, 2025
Today, during the presentation of its FW25 men's collection, Brunello Cucinelli brought to life a fascinating fusion of tradition and modernity, through a vision celebrating the continuous rediscovery of artisanal values, which have always been an integral part of the brand’s philosophy. The theme of the collection, Remixing Innate Instincts, draws inspiration from the Greek philosophy of “Anamnesis”, representing the memory and recognition of eternal ideas at the origin of the world. In this context, each garment regains its original identity and integrates into a synergy with the contemporary world, creating a balance between classic menswear and the demands of modern dressing. The core of the collection lies in the tension and balance between opposites, which come together in collective harmony. Each combination is designed to stand out through subtle and light details, emphasizing tailoring quality in the service of an informal look. Elegant jackets are paired with denim trousers, soft coats offer an alternative to more casual looks, and relaxed silhouettes express a perfect blend of dynamism and precision.
The lightness is the leitmotif of the entire collection, particularly evident in the outerwear. The line of outerwear has been entirely built using lightweight yet high-performing materials, where technical nylon meets cashmere – a long-standing specialty of Brunello Cucinelli. The garments, enhanced by details like padded satin and soft leathers, reinterpret sporty style with a contemporary twist. The soft shearling, used in the inserts, adds a touch of protection and warmth without weighing down the overall looks, which are designed to reconcile the refinement and elegance of Cucinelli's yarns with the practical needs of everyday life, elevating it. An especially intriguing aspect of the new collection is the use of colors – rich tones such as amaranth, radicchio, sapphire, and cloud are paired with grays, beiges, and blues, creating a visual contrast that adds bursts of vibrancy to every single piece. The search for new combinations is evident in the materials, where nylon meets traditional fabrics, and raw denim gains a new elegance. The collection also includes a more sporty proposal, with garment-dyed fabrics introducing delicate and modern nuances.

One cannot discuss the new collection without mentioning knitwear, which is, of course, Brunello Cucinelli’s most sought-after specialty. This season, it pays homage to craftsmanship with new bouclé yarns and rare fibers that reflect light softly and sophisticatedly. The Shetland tradition is reinterpreted in a softer key, while English rib is renewed with vanisé techniques and new chevron versions. Jacquard patterns, enhanced by contrasting textures, add an unprecedented dimension to the garments, emphasizing their texture. These creations, like the others described earlier, are enriched with intricate details that are the most eloquent hallmark of the excellence that gives Brunello Cucinelli’s clothing its unique magic. Enameled buttons, tailored pleats, and inserts in precious materials transform casual garments into works of style. Pockets, collars, and linings with refined finishes reflect the attention to detail that defines the unique identity of the collection. Footwear and accessories also seamlessly integrate into the mix, with oiled and brushed leathers that lend shoes and bags a lived-in and masculine yet refined effect.
