This autumn, the British streetwear brand Aries and Salomon have joined forces in a collab that looks to the future with its feet firmly planted in the past. Drawing inspiration from iconic characters from Japanese TV series of the 1970s and 1980s, the Salomon Snowclog has been reinterpreted by Aries with a dynamic look, taking its colors from the costume of Ultraman and the Power Rangers. The campaign mirrors the same aesthetic: directed by Aries' long-time collaborators, Dario Vigorito and Douglas Irvine, it features MMA pro fighters amid the stunning landscapes of the island of Menorca. Evoking a strong sense of power, resilience, and courage, the campaign images perfectly capture the spirit of the new collab, blending Japanese heritage with contemporary street style.
The new design of the Snowclog reinterpreted by Aries has been made with a green approach thanks to InfiniFOAM technology, a sustainable and fully recyclable material. Every detail of the shoe has been designed for comfort and urban practicality: the upper is functional, making the shoe easy to slip on and off, while the winter grip adapts to any terrain. Among the most distinctive details of the collab are Aries' fluorescent highlights, which perfectly complement Salomon's innovation.
