The North Face celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Himalayan Parka
In Paris and Milan, three workshops to create your own look and a music track
November 12th, 2024
This autumn, The North Face celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of the Himalayan Parka by revisiting the look with a mix of design and modern functionality, presented through a series of exclusive workshops in Paris and Milan. The outerwear item that took The North Face to the coldest peaks was designed in 1994 for the most extreme conditions, but this year it has been renewed for everyday use. In a special edition, the Himalayan Parka incorporates a waxed ripstop fabric to add a deep texture to the garment, while the cord locks allow the wearer to customize the fit of the jacket. Thus, The North Face Parka becomes not only a piece designed for the most extreme cold, but also a statement item perfect for an urban lifestyle, capable of adapting to the city without giving up its outdoor roots.
The first workshop by The North Face to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the Himalayan Parka was held in Paris on October 26, when the brand invited Oluwa.g to give a lesson in styling and photography, while participants had the opportunity to interpret the Himalayan Parka in a personal way. Following this, The North Face flew to Milan for two more events: on November 9 and 10, two new workshops were held.
The first day was dedicated again to styling and photography, with the participation of Allison, while the second day featured support from musician Elasi. The artist added a special touch to her workshop by transforming the space into a music lab where participants could create their own track, integrating music and fashion into an immersive experience.
